1. I have chosen my favorite Ugg Boots for my text.
2. The texts main purpose is to provide comfort and warmth to ones feet in the wintertime.
3. Looking closer at the boots, one can see that there is more involved in the boots than just keeping feet warm. They are very comfortable and stable boots and are good for people who need nice, good shoes for bad feet or back problems. They also can serve as good boots for snow. Although they are suede, they function very well in snow, meaning they do not get ruined if they get wet with snow.
4. These boots come in many different shapes and styles. I, myself have three different pairs. Two of them are suede and are considered "tall" boots, going up to about mid calf. My other pair are croshay and go a little above my ankle. Every pair of Ugg Australia boots have Koala fur on the inside, always keeping the foot warm and comfortable. On some of the boots, they are lined with the fur all the way up the boot, while others are just lined with the fur along the foot. All of the boots come in multiple different colors, ranging from pink to black to tan to brown. These different colors help people to express themselves. Also, lastly, these boots range anywhere from 150-200 dollars, so the people purchasing them must be willing to spend a good amount of money on something they know they will get a lot of use out of.
5. Overall appearance of these boots is something that is not so important. These boots really arent for stylish purposes, but for warmth and comfort. Designing the boots with the Koala fur helps the customers to know that these boots are designed to keep the feet warm in cold weather. There are many different colors, such as tan, brown, dark brown, black, pink, green, and a creme color.
6. The main audience for this product would be any man or woman, of all ages living in cold weather.
Thesis- When observing Ugg boots in a deeper matter, one can see that these boots are far more than just a shoe, or a boot. These boots are designed to keep the foot warm and are popular for the comfort they provide a foot. In many different colors and styles, costumers have many different options to chose from and will never be left un satisfied with Ugg Australia boots.

Lindsay, this is a good choice of “text” for analysis. You have considered the main features of this brand’s shoes that make them both expensive and popular. However, you really need to focus on only one of your three pairs. Pick one and discuss how it combines the typical features of UGG footwear and consider what the differences in design do for the overall effect of this pair. Also consider the look, lifestyle and age group these boots satisfy. Also, from your description it follows that your pair are expensive. Could you tell that if you could not see the name of the brand (are they recognizable)? Can many people afford it? In the same price range, do these boots stand out for some reason? Why? Are they durable? Is it something you could wear for all sorts of occasions (dress up or down)? How long would they stay in style? Would you get the wear out of them (for the money spent) or will you likely stash them into the back of your closet after a season? Would women 20-40 years older than you want to wear them or would it be inappropriate for this group?
I think your topic was a good choice. You gave good details from the colors, material, and how the Uggs can be worn in any type of weather. I like how you mentioned the different styles, so now it's easier to elaborate on them. Also, I agree that they are not necessarily bought for the "look" but for comfort they provide to the person wearing them.
